Refunds and Cancellation

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Cancelling

Cancel yourself, at any time, from Manage billing in your dashboard. It opens the Stripe billing portal, where you stop the subscription without writing to anyone. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing further is charged.

Refunds

If the product did not do what we said it does, write to hello@emailguard.dev within 14 days of the charge and we refund it in full, to the original payment method, within 14 days of receiving the request. We do not ask you to justify yourself.

For a period already substantially used, we refund the unused remainder rather than the whole amount. We would rather say that plainly here than promise more and argue about it later.

The EU right of withdrawal

If you bought as a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw. There is a catch worth knowing, and it sits in the law rather than in our terms: for digital services that begin immediately, once you have asked for immediate access and acknowledged it, Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU lets that right lapse. Creating an account and using your key is that request.

If you bought for a business, the statutory right never applied in the first place. Either way our own refund policy above still stands — it is deliberately more generous than the law obliges us to be.

Lifetime deals

Codes bought through a marketplace follow that marketplace’s refund window, because that is who took your money. After redemption the licence is yours and there is no recurring charge to cancel.

Your data

Cancelling stops the billing; it does not erase your account. To have the data deleted, ask us — the route is in the privacy policy.
